I practiced Yoga for my physical well-being at first but Yoga and Dhyana (Meditation) did to me what it is destined to do, change my mental and physical chemistry. My profession as an actor got me interested in the various identities we carry and the urgent need to dissociate with them.
With great fortune, I came across my Guru Yogi Buddhadeva from Bihar School of Yoga in 2012, from whom I first got initiated in Reiki healing (Master Reiki Healer) and then learnt Yoga and Meditation (200 hrs. Teacher Training), the complete science and philosophy behind it. Under his guidance, I introduced yogic programs for the pregnant, for the children and the elderly. At the moment I am working on the words that he uses to bless and greet us, ‘Yogasth Bhav’ (Stay In Yogic Consciousness).
To be able to teach his philosophy further internationally I took 300 hrs. Yoga and Meditation Yoga Alliance International teacher training certification from a wellness studio. Teaching Mindfulness can be as rewarding as learning it. I am a trained Meditation Leader also.
I teach Yoga and Meditation at some reputed studios and Fitness centres in Adelaide.

The story of your (potential) Yoga teacher began 23 years ago when what I had been practicing started making sense practically. I started off my career as an actor and writer 23 years ago in India. My father being my first teacher I started practicing Yoga for my physical well-being at first but Yoga and Dhyana (Meditation) did to me what it is destined to do, change my mental and physical chemistry. My profession as an actor got me interested in the various identities we carried and the urgent need to dissociate with them. The need for self discovery got me reading Rhonda Byrne, Dr. Brian Weiss, Napolean Hill, Neale Donald Walsh and Sri Sri Paramhans Yogananda and other sanyasis. And this beautiful journey has culminated into study of the eternal spiritual textbook to know Yoga fully, The manual for life Bhagwad Gita as it is by His Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada.
And then with great fortune I came across my Yoga Guru Yogi Buddhadeva from Bihar School of Yoga in 2012, from whom I first got initiated in Reiki healing (Master Reiki Healer) and then learnt Yoga and Meditation (200 hrs. It was an altogether different experience to be trained by a sanyasi. But to be able to teach internationally I took 300 hrs. Yoga and Meditation Yoga Alliance International teacher training certification from a wellness studio. I learned detailed nuances of Meditation in Buddhism while undertaking Meditation Leadership Training from Skillful Mind Australia.
The main aim of Yoga and the asanas (postures) is to reach dhyana (meditative state). Also, not all postures are meant for everyone. We have to work on ourselves to rise a little above our general needs to realize our true self. But all this philosophy appears intimidating to people who look forward to Yoga only for their physical health benefits which I neither question nor look down upon.
So, using breath with postures to bring Mind, Body, Soul harmony is our aim. ‘Yoga will do to you what it’s destined to’, taking this as the motto I practice and teach Yoga and Meditation to remain ‘in yogic consciousness’.
